Inscribed by the author on verso of the title page ‘For Dame Sybil Thorndike’. Loosely inserted ALS on headed paper from ‘Flat 4, 10 The Glebe, Blackheath, S.E.3.’, dated 25.10.72, from the author to Dame Sybil Thorndike wishing ‘Many Happy Returns’ and remarking that ‘I thought you would like to have a copy of the little “Alphabet of Verses”’ signed ‘Yours with every good work’. A good copy, slightly creased.
