KEYNES (John Maynard).
Essays in Biography.

A collection of biographical sketches of fifteen famous scientists, economists and statesmen, including Winston Churchill, Lloyd George, Edwin Montagu, Robert Malthus, Alfred Marshall, F. Y. Edgeworth, and F. P. Ramsey. Of particular note is Keynes’s essay on Thomas Robert Malthus, being the source of his infamous statement ‘Economics is a very dangerous science’.

Complete with a nice example of the rather uncommon dust jacket, an unusually difficult find, especially compared to Keynes’s Essays in Persuasion published only two years earlier.
