A very good copy of this important narrative and illustrative account of Scott’s Last Expedition. Ponting’s inscription reads: “To C.H. Rostron with all best wishes from H.G. Ponting London April 11th 1934.”

Ponting retained many of his best images for his own work rather than having them reproduced in the official account of 1913.
