The story of a lost sparrow whose tongue had been cut, and an elderly couple’s quest to go and find the sparrow and reunite it with its family. The illustrations show charming scenes of sparrows wearing kimonos.
A later edition with the 17 Kami Negishi imprint, which was Hasegawa’s address from 1911.
