GHEON (Henri).

Jeux et Miracles pour la Peuple Fidèle.

First edition. Later cloth, red morocco label to spine, original wrappers bound in. Paris, Editions de la Revue des Jeunes, 1922.

£165.00

Inscribed by the author: “A André Ruyters, grand Africain, les voyages d’un sédentaire au pays des miracles, affectionneusement, Henri Gheon, Juillet 1922.” Ruyters was one of the founders of the Nouvelle Revue Française, and an intimate of André Gide, as was Henri Gheon, described by Gide’s biographer as “his closest friend, and companion on numerous homosexual exploits”. Cloth slightly spotted, otherwise an excellent copy.
