Martyrilogium viola sanctorum.
An uncommon Strassburg edition of the ‘Flower of the saints’, a work first printed in Basel by Richel in 1474. At the beginning is an alphabetical register of martyrs and saints, followed by the text which is arranged in the calendar order of their feast days. The text was frequently reprinted in Germany before 1500. There are two early 16th- century editions, one of 1508 (Hagenau) and this.
