Inscribed by the author to the British poet Gavin Ewart to title page: ‘To Gavin and Nargo, love, Wendy 12th May 1988’. With a loosely inserted Autograph Postcard Signed (‘Wendy Cope’) with an original manuscript poem reading: ‘Couplet composed after I met Gavin at a reception and he told me he is really a recluse. ‘Mother Teresa’s rather tarty And Gavin Ewart hates a party’. With a printed illustrated card of one of Ewart’s poems also loosely inserted.

A very good copy, rear wrapper slightly discoloured along spine.
