First edition in a terracotta cloth binding, blocked in black, with Times Book Club emblem at foot of spine in place of publisher’s name. Title page dated 1904: seems to be something between the chestnut Heinemann remainder binding and the blue Times Book Club binding described in Toole Stott. This copy, in very good condition, old ownership inscription to the top of the page. In a stout, functional leatherbound case.
