The Graphic was a weekly British illustrated newspaper founded by artist, wood engraver and social reformer William Luston Thomas. A successful rival to the Illustrated London News, The Graphic was run by artists and strove to better remunerate and represent their work. Founded in 1869, it reported stories from all corners of the British Empire.
