A presentation copy, inscribed in ink on the front free endpaper ‘To Martin Briggs with warmest regards Howard Robertson Nov 16. 1952’, tipped in a 2 page ALS to Briggs, the same date, on the headed notepaper of Easton and Robertson, returning a book and sending this copy. Robertson was a former president of the RIBA, Briggs a distinguished historian of architecture.
