M.R. James’ second collection of ghost stories, which features seven tales, including ‘A School Story’, ‘The Rose Garden’, ‘The Tractate Middoth’, ‘Casting the Runes’, ‘The Stalls of Barchester Cathedral’, ‘Martin’s Close’, ‘Mr. Humphreys and his Inheritance’, all previously unpublished.
A very good copy, with some wear to the cloth, and a small stain to the front cover, a little spotting especially to the endpapers and prelims, W. H. Smith booksellers ticket to the rear paste down.
