Very good, handsome copies. Vol.1 in green buckram slipcase with pink paper label lettered in gilt, slightly marked, corners bumped. Vol.2 boards slightly marked. Vol.1 is the first book published by George Rainbird Ltd., under the direction of Sitwell, among others. These two volumes are the only known appearance of Charles Raymond’s paintings, which are fine examples of botanical painting [Walpole].
