A beautiful watercolour and lovely piece of Nolan ephemera. Nolan paints a “free translation” of Jan Asselyn’s (1610-1652) The Threatened Swan, which resides in the Rijksmuseum. On the verso, he thanks Stephanie “for your pleasant thought and Amsterdam.”
