GASCOYNE (David).
Poems 1937-1942.

A nice association copy, from the library of the English poet and critic Anthony Thwaite, with his ownership inscription dated 1946 to front free endpaper, below which is a later inscription from the author to Thwaite in blue ink: ‘For Anthony Thwaite with all best wishes Sincerely, David Gascoyne 28. vi.70’. With a newspaper clipping with an article about Gascoyne loosely inserted.

A poor copy, lacking dust jacket and with wear to boards and outer spine. Binding badly shaken, rear hinge split.
