He was awarded the \u003cem\u003eLégion d’honneur\u003c\/em\u003e by the French government in conjunction with an exhibition in Paris in 1929. By the Taisho period his work had become so popular that Atelier decided to publish a comprehensive overview of the first thirty years of his \u003cem\u003eoeuvre\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeven volumes are arranged according to subjects: 1.
