The bright and colourful illustrations belie the tragedy of this children’s tale. A 1920s ‘Toy Story’ with a sad end.
With errata slip. Later pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Some age toning and marking to paper covered board, gilt to spine slightly dulled. Internally in very good order, and overall a reasonably bright example of this attractive children’s book.
