Presentation copy on behalf of the Legacy Club (for returned servicemen, one of Savige’s great causes) of Hobart to Lord Rowallan for his “great interest in Legacy”. Lord Rowallan’s main claim to fame seems to have been his short-lived marriage to April Ashley. Savige served with distinction at Gallipoli, Sinai, the Western Front and in Persia with Dunsterforce, in the Second World War he saw action in the Middle East, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
