An interesting book on Asir and Yemen. The author was a naval officer who explored the Arabian coast of the Red Sea while commanding HMS Minto. His narrative chiefly concerns his experiences in Yemen but also describes a cruise in Gulf, during which his ship policed the Bahrain pearl fisheries.
