Blackmer 833: “Hoskins travelled in Egypt 1832-3 and was a resident for some months at Thebes where he was in contact with Robert Hay. This work is an account of his journey to the Great Oasis to the west of Thebes and to other oases in the Libyan Desert. Although printed after Travels in Ethiopia it describes the earlier period of Hoskins’ sojourn in Egypt.”
