CHURCHILL (Winston S.)
The World Crisis, 1911-1918. Abridged and Revised Edition. With an Additional Chapter on the Battle of the Marne. [with:] The Aftermath. Being a sequel to the World Crisis.
The World Crisis is Churchill’s famous history of the First World and was published across four volumes between 1923 and 1927 by Thornton Butterworth. It was followed by two supplementary fifth and sixth volumes on The Aftermath (1929) and The Eastern Front (1932). The publishing rights were transferred to Macmillan in 1941 who reprinted the book in the present abridged format.
An excellent pair complete with the rare dust jackets, some faint spotting to edges of text blocks, otherwise internally clean.
