TRAIN (George Francis).
Young America in Wall-Street.

George Francis Train (1829-1904) was an eccentric American businessman and traveller. He is most well-known for (most likely) inspiring Jules Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days and its protagonist Phileas Fogg, as Train accomplished a similar feat in 1870. The present work provides an overview of American finance of the time.
