Deliveries within the United Kingdom are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, with delivery to be expected within 2-3 working days. Deliveries to all other destinations are sent by FedEx with delivery expected within 2-7 working days. 

Our shipping prices are based on a total package weight of 1 KG. Maggs reserves the right to charge additional postage on items which we deem excessively heavy and / or difficult to post, e.g. large paintings or large multivolume sets.

Certain items may require an export license before they can be shipped from the UK. This may result in a short delay before they can be dispatched and the United Kingdom Arts Council reserves the right to object to the export of cultural goods in exceptional circumstances, although in our in experience this is extremely uncommon.

All items are securely packed by a shipper with a lifetime of experience handling rare and valuable books. Every shipment is fully insured and customers are entitled to a full refund in the case that a book is lost or damaged in transit.

If any items are returned as a result of a customer's failure to comply with import regulations in their destination country, Maggs reserves the right to deduct incurred costs from any refund, including shipping & handling and payment processing fees.
