An interesting and detailed description of the Attic plain, and the first work of travel by Christopher Wordsworth (1807-1885), nephew of the poet, who earned a reputation for his classical studies and translations and his deciphering of graffiti and inscriptions. He is credited with discovering the oracle of Zenus at Dodona.
