Very good, ink ownership inscription to the front pastedown, with a library number, head of the spine just nicked, endpapers lightly foxed, otherwise a very good copy indeed.

An exemplary early collection of Pound’s Poetry, Canzoni, in its sheer breadth of style and homage, lays out many of the poetic co-ordinates - particularly the Provencal poets and Roman satirists - that Pound would go on to chart throughout The Cantos. Dedicated to Olivia and Dorothy Shakespear, this book was published in the same year that Pound’s proposal to the latter on the grounds of insufficient funds; the two would go on to marry in 1914.
