Stevenson’s classic collection of poetry written for children. The correct first printing, without ‘Two Words’ included in the list of works ‘By the same author’ to verso of opening leaf, and in the usual binding variant, with the apostrophe in ‘Child’s’ to spine resembling a small number 7.

A very good copy, engraved bookplate of John Francis Neylan and small contemporary bookseller’s label to front pastedown, faint offsetting to endpapers, tips of spine and corners rubbed.
