HASEGAWA (T.)
The Children's Japan By Mrs. W. H. Smith
"HASEGAWA'S UNTEARABLE CRÊPE"
A fine copy of this charming Hasegawa title made for children in “Hasegawa’s untearable crêpe” which “…can be subjected to an amount of rough usage which no other books can stand” (introduction).
The first edition was published in 1892, then again in 1895. The present copy was printed at a different address, 17 Kami Neigishi, and represents the third and final English language edition. While the internal contents are the same, there are very subtle differences in the bindings of each edition.
