MILLER I. L. (Mr. Grin) & LABERBIS (E. de), translator.
The Chinese Girl.

“My intention was only to write about what I have seen during over the two years of special studies of the ways and customs of the Chinese girl.” Miller was the editor of the Russian Daily ‘Nasha Zaria’ in Tientsin and judging from his alias he had a fairly good time of it. The photographic plates show portraits of Chinese ladies mostly employed as ‘dramatic artists’, singers or cabaret dancers. Rare.
