The Circle, a Comedy in Three Acts.
This edition consisted of only 2,000 copies, of which 1,500 are believed to have been issued in wrappers (as here) and sold at 2/6, and 500 copies bound in paper-covered boards and sold at 3/6. This copy is in near-fine condition (spine slightly darkened but very little wear). It is inscribed and signed by Maugham, “For Ingle Barr the author’s best play, they say W. Somerset Maugham.” Housed in a decorated calf-backed clamshell case.
