Frontispiece and 8 wood engravings by William MacCance. Out of series copy, 385 numbered copies. 8vo., original Welsh sheepskin, brown-stamped graphic design around the title on both covers, fore and lower edges uncut. The Gregynog Press, 1933.
The area for the numbering of the copies on the colophon has been neatly clipped out and written in ink are the words “Out of Series. For Exhibition Purposes”. The book was later wrapped up in brown paper with another (Christina Rossetti’s poems) and stored at the Press with a typed identifying label pasted onto the paper. Some slight soiling to binding as one might expect from an exhibition copy, small wormhole to lower board.
