The true first edition of this famous autobiographical account of the discovery of the structure of DNA, being a major scientific advancement for which Watson, Hick and Wilkins won the Nobel prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1962. The book has since been criticised for its failure to properly credit the role of Rosalind Franklin as an important contributor to the discovery of the Double Helix who’s work had largely gone uncredited until relatively recently.
