KUZNETS (Simon).
Economic Growth and Structure. Selected Essays.
A review copy, with the publisher’s review slip loosely inserted. During the 1960s Kuzents undertook extensive comparative studies of the economic growth patterns of different countries, a research programme that would be cited as amongst his foremost contributions to economic science when awarded the Nobel Prize in 1971. The present collection, originally published in an American edition the previous year, brings together essays on the “complex growth process and analyses the implications of such specific factors as population, income inequality, industrialization, and agriculture” (from dust jacket blurb).
