The sales of the deposed (1952) and by this time in exile King Farouk of Egypt (1920-65) were held at the Koubbeh Palace, Cairo in February and March 1954, the first and second sales being of his stamp collection, followed by the immense coin collection, and later the objects of vertu, silver and paperweights.
