Blackmer 1059: “First and apparently only edition, and Madox’s only book. This work is an account of travels made between 1821 and 1826, not necessarily in chronological order but composed from journals of various excursions… He made three separate journeys to Egypt and Palestine between 1824 and 1826… The plates include sites in Palestine, costumes and Egyptian wall paintings.”
