Elizabeth David’s iconic cookery book, a tantalising introduction to French cooking published at a time when rationing was still in place in post-war Britain, complete with the wonderful original pictorial dust jacket designed by John Minton.
Just about a very good copy overall, heavy dampstaining to edges of text block, small amount of faint spotting to outer leaves, contents otherwise generally unmarked, jacket price clipped with minor shelf wear to extremities, two short closed tears to front joint of spine panel with unobtrusive tape reinforcements to verso.
