FADEN (William jr.).
The French Empire and the Kingdom of Italy, with part of the States of the Confederation of the Rhine. From Lapie's Map, 1811. ...
Detailed map of the [Napoleonic] French Empire in Europe in 1813, based on Lapie’s map of 1811. There is a table of the Departments of France on the left side of the map, and a table of the divisions of northern Italy at upper right, set within an elaborate engraved border.
In 1813, Napoleon was seeking to regroup after his disastrous Russia campaign of 1812, while his European enemies were closing in.
A very good example of this scarce map.
