REMY (Tristan).
Georges Wague. Le Mime de la Belle Epoque.
The dedication copy, inscribed to Alice Tully by both the author and the subject of the book. Wague writes “Pour Toi, Très chere Alice Tully cet exemplaire unique en gage d’amitie et le reconnaissance, et … plus profond de mon coeur”. The printed dedication to her describes her as “une des des plus remarquables élèves de Georges Wague.”
Wague was a mime actor, and a very influential teacher of acting, specialising in teaching singers, and the book has pages of photos of beautiful singers and actors inscribing their photographs to him in gratitude, including prominently Tully and Colette Willy.
