Photographic frontispiece of the African elephant, 53 figures (some text-figures others photographic plates). Some mild browning and a little foxing to the preliminary leaves, occasional pencil annotation, otherwise very good in the original quarter cloth on red paper covered boards, inner hinges cracking, a little rubbed and chipped at the extremities but the whole protected in a cellophane wrapper. viii, 94pp. 2pp. ads. As well as descriptions of the various animals, there are lists of horns, antlers and tusks at the end of the volume, detailing their length, girth, tip to tip measurement and points.
