WECHSBERG (Joseph.)
Journey through the Land of eloquent Silence.
Spine darkened, some foxing, and minor stains to binding. Inscribe by the author on an endpaper “Dear David Cornwell, such meetings are unexpected joys of the profession - with my regards and admiration. Jacob Wechsberg. Jan 19 1965.” In Jan 1965 Cornwell visited the set of The Spy who Came in from the Cold in Dublin, and it’s possible that he met Wechsberg, who was an interesting man and was writing for the New Yorker at the time.
