£1,500.00

First edition of this 16th-century quasi Georgics, and the only book printed by Robert Estienne in Italian, indeed in any vernacular other than French. As with his poetry, this was written at the court of François I, where he enjoyed fame and the admiration of the Pleiade.

Slightly damp-stained and dusty, first few leaves frayed. Obtrusive repairs to final leaves at outer margin, not touching text.

Renouard p. 68, no. 2; Schreiber no. 88; Harvard/Mortimer (French), no. 10. CNCE 603. Adams A409. BMSTC (French), p.6.
