An extremely attractive, profusely illustrated edition of this French version of the tales of Boccaccio, bound in contemporary, pink cloth-backed boards. Most of the illustrations consist of the designs of Gravelot which were reduced and engraved “en sens inverses” by new engravers, but ten designs, mostly by Bonnet, are new to this edition. Our copy contains 119 engraved plates, eight more than the 111 called for by Reynaud in his supplement to Cohen-De Ricci.

Cohen-De Ricci 162. Reynaud, cols. 58/9.
