The scarce magazine published by students at the Royal College of Art, including a striking early woodcut by John Piper, and several by the accomplished but often overlooked artist Mary Groom. As the foreward by E.J. Thring explains, students at the College found themselves ‘having amassed a fortune by the sale of half-all-rounds, coffee-dashes and social tickets,[so] it was suggested that its bulging coffers should be relieved by indulging in that expensive luxury, a Magazine.’
