A fine copy, with a presentation inscription on the title page “For John le Carré, from West Africa via Helsinki, with admiration, 27 November 2006, Juha Vakkuri.” The last twenty years of Vakkuri’s very varied life were based around Africa, particularly Benin, and included a trilogy of African history and the present volume of poetry on the theme of the Belgians in Congo.
