Two original watercolours and six original pencil designs signed by Sylvain Sauvage tipped in, along with four original copper plates. 50 copperplate engravings after Sylvain Sauvage, coloured in pochoir, with four additional plates printed on silk with remarques as-per the lettered copies and a further two additional plates with remarques. One of 165 numbered copies, this no. 109, with an additional ten copies lettered I to X. Folio, 34 x 26cm, 211pp + 218pp. Full brown goatskin by Trinckvel, covers with repeating diamond pattern formed of a central lozenge of blue and pink onlay bisected by diagonal gilt fillets, with surrounding pattern of lozenges formed of diagnonal gilt fillets, all outlined with lines of black inlay, spine in five compartments with inlay, onlay and gilt decorating repeating the theme of the covers, turn-ins with gilt and black rules, upper turn in with binder’s gilt stamp, original copper plates bound into doublures behind silk passepartout, a.e.g, with goatskin edged marbled paper slipcase.
