A collection of Military Ruses and Strategems drawn from the lives of Great Captains and illustrative of uses of subterfuge in War. Compiled by the founder of the Engineering College at Mézières. de la Roziere served in Italy and Flanders in 1745 and was in charge of fortifications in the East Indies in 1750. On his return to France he served in the Seven Years’ War, captured at Rossbach. He was the author of accounts of the campaigns of Condé and Crequy.
