Spine slightly faded, slight wear to extremities. Inscribed on the half title, over an indistinct signature, “To Mr John le Carré, as a souvenir of a very pleasant afternoon at Perridge House - this collection of letters & telegrams published and printed in “a small town in Holland”.” Litvinov was a Soviet dissident who was sentenced to five years in the gulag before being exiled to the USA.
