A good set rebound in functional library cloth, with the half title to Vol. 3 but lacking the half title to Vol. 2 (none called for in Vol. 1). Staining to lower portion of fore edge of Vol. 1. Front and rear joints to Vol. 1 split but holding firmly, light wear to extremities, corners bumped, some faint marking to covers. Stylish engraved bookplate to front free endpaper of Vol. 1 of ‘J. Billson’ with the motto ‘Who reads and reads and acts not what he knows is one who ploughs and ploughs and never sows’.
