Bound in full blue crushed goatskin by Frank Garrett, upper cover with panels in dotted gilt rules with three diamond-shaped lozenges arranged vertically, the larger central lozenge lettered in gilt ‘MY RECIPE BOOK’, each corner of this lozenge with a circle of red goatskin onlay, outer solid gilt rule terminating in gold tooled Celtic knot, lower cover with concentric gilt and blind rules, spine with four raised bands and five compartments with dotted gilt rules forming an ‘X’, with central circle of red goatskin onlay. upper turn-in with two gilt rules terminating in floral tool in gilt, top and bottom lettered in gilt ‘LILIAN’ ‘XMAS 1929’, lower turn-in with binder’s gilt stamp ‘F.
