The complete four volume series on southern Greenland local councils, plus one on the northern councils. The section title for the northern Greenland part is Meddelelser vedkommende Forstanderskaberne i Nordgrönland. 1863-1867. Each was produced and issued separately, though they are often found bound up in single volumes. The folding lithographic plates include various local statistics pertinent to the councils. A bevy of information on regional Greenlandic government with dual text in Danish and Kalaalisut. The printer, Lars Møller, was an Inuuk Native who took over the first press in Greenland from Heinrich Rink. Møller is known for his beautiful and distinctive lithographic work, evidenced here in the unusual calligraphic plates of tables.
Like most early Greenland imprints, this is quite rare.
