A lovely unsophisticated copy in the publisher’s boards.

“Walsh arrived in Constantinople in 1821 as chaplain to Lord Strangfords’ embassy… In 1830 Walsh returned to Constantinople and remained there until 1835” (Navari). This work describes his return journey to England after the British embassy, giving an excellent account of Istanbul and vivid travel sketches of Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.
