This copy bears a presentation inscription on the dedication leaf to a Major Campbell, and then some text in Farsi, also by the author.

“Wolff, that most curious and tireless of missionaries, a converted Jew who set himself to convert the Jews, was commissioned by the Stoddard-Conolly Committee in 1843 to find out what had happened to these two officers.” (Blackmer).
